How to buy park tickets

Disney World tickets are non-transferable, meaning that you can't buy someones leftover tickets to get into the parks. Upon your first time entering the park, they will take a fingerprint of you and that will embedded into the system, making it definitely non transferable. Also, beware of "curb side" vendors - but beware. With Disney's new "finger scan" the tickets may not work.

However, there are some good ways to get tickets at a discount.

You can buy tickets at the Disney Store in your local mall, or buy tickets online from the Disney World Site. Both are cheaper than when you arrive in Orlando.

If you are staying on site, you can look at bundling your tickets with your room rates.

Mousesavers has the differences between the different tickets that are now being offered.

Quick summary:
  • Park Hopper - lets you go from park to park on a day ticket
  • Don't Expire option - lets the days you don't use on this trip never expire - if you don't get this, the days expire 10 days after your first day of use.
  • Magic plus option - gets you a few trips to water slides or other things there

The more days you buy, the more you save...
